Arkansas Press Women is pleased to welcome Toni Boyer Stewart, a new member who is already making an impact by serving as APW’s College Scholarship Chair.

Toni retired from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2024, where she worked as a website marketing analyst. In that role, she specialized in digital analytics, search engine optimization, and content management, helping measure campaign effectiveness and provide strategic insights for web and social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

In addition to her professional work, Toni was an active leader on campus. Through her involvement in the Staff Senate and the Sustainability Committee, she helped lead sustainability and campus initiatives, including organizing the university’s Earth Day and Sustainability Day events.

Now in retirement, she remains deeply engaged in the communications field and is eager to continue learning and contributing. She joined Arkansas Press Women to stay connected with professionals across industries and to remain part of the evolving conversation around communications, particularly the growing influence of artificial intelligence.

“I’m not one for a quiet retirement,” Toni said. “I’m still eager to keep my foot in the door of the communications world and connect with people doing innovative work across different industries. I’m especially fascinated by how AI is shaking everything up and want to stay right in the middle of that conversation.”

A self-described pop culture and trivia enthusiast, Toni brings curiosity, energy, and a wealth of experience to APW.

Here are a few things to know about Toni:

Favorite Quote: Your thoughts are not always facts.

Fun facts: I’m a pop culture and trivia buff with a surprising amount of (mostly useless) information tucked away. Also, I lived in Washington, D.C. and Austin, Texas, before moving back to my home state of Arkansas.

What am I excited about right now?

I’ve called Little Rock home for 25 years and still love it here. You’ll usually find my husband and me out at the Arkansas Symphony, catching a talk at the Ron Robinson Theater or the Clinton Presidential Center, or scouting out new local restaurants. When we aren’t in town, we’re likely exploring the state parks. Petit Jean and Mount Magazineare our go-to spots. I’m a true Arkansan at heart!
