Dear APW friends:
Carol Griffee is in hospice care at a North Little Rock nursing home.
She has end-stage COPD and lung cancer. It could be a few weeks up to a
few months. She asks for no visitors, phone calls or flowers. She’s
using what little energy she has to wrap up her affairs while she can.
For those who would like to send a card or note, she gave permission to

She asked me to thank everyone in APW for the flowers sent to the
hospital. Though she’s breathless and easily exhausted, she’s still her
fiercely independent self. She doesn’t much care for the nursing home,
to put it mildly, but knows it’s necessary.
I’ll be keeping up with her and will send more information as things change.
