APW awards a $1,000 scholarship each spring to an undergraduate student – male or female – studying at an Arkansas college or university who is planning a career in mass communications or journalism. The application deadline is March 15.
Eligibility
- Applicant must be entering his/her junior or senior year in the 2013-2014 school year.
- Applicants must be attending an Arkansas college or university.
- APW scholarship recipients are eligible to reapply the next year.
- APW does not discriminate based on gender, race, color, national origin, religion or disability.
Criteria
The scholarship committee will give preference to the following applicants:
- Are majoring in journalism or mass communications
- Have an overall grade point average of 3.25 or better
- Have published writing or broadcast samples
