2021 NFPW Conference – Wish You Were Here!

Arkansas Press Women invites you to join us for the 2021 National Federation of Press Women Conference. Out of precaution for our members safety, we are hosting this year’s conference virtually on June 10-12, 2021. 

Registration is now open on the conference website. An amazing list of speakers will be joining us virtually over the three days, which include some free events.

The 2021 conference has something for everyone, from how to start a podcast to social media strategies, Arkansas pie to using drones, writing memoirs to internet trolls. 

Michelle Duster, author, professor, public historian, and champion of racial and gender equality, will kick off the start of the conference as our keynote speaker on Friday, June 11. Duster will be talking with NFPW members about her most recent book: Ida B. the Queen: The Extraordinary Life and Legacy of Ida B. Wells, which was released in January.

Civil Rights hero Elizabeth Eckford, who helped integrate Little Rock’s Central High School in 1957 in front of the world, will be our guest speaker on Saturday, June 12. A local high school student will interview Eckford about her life and decision to write a book about being an ally and standing up to bullies.

Author's Alley

NFPW members who are authors are invited to submit their titles for sale in our online store open during the conference.

WordsWorth Books, a Little Rock bookstore, will serve as the official bookseller for the 2021 NFPW conference. WordsWorth will sell books about Arkansas and of interest to writers and other professional communicators through a 2021 NFPW Conference page linked to the bookstore’s website. A list of titles is being compiled that will be posted by the bookstore, which can complete orders.
