2021 NFPW Conference at the Wyndham Riverfront Little Rock
Arkansas Press Women invites you to join us for the 2021 National Federation of Press Women Conference at the Wyndham Riverfront Little Rock.
The official conference dates are June 10-12. As we work to pull together a stimulating and safe conference, we hope that you will add the 2021 NFPW Conference to your calendar now.
Join us at the Wyndham Riverfront Little Rock situated on the Arkansas River. The hotel is located near one of the area’s many pedestrian bridges that span the river, connecting Little Rock and North Little Rock that lead from the Clinton Presidential Library west to Pinnacle Mountain. It is located next door to the Dickey-Stephens Park, home to the Arkansas Travelers minor league team. We are also a block away from a trolley stop that takes you into Little Rock’s downtown.
Reserve your spot for the Little Rock pre-conference tour on Wednesday, June 9. Little Rock Central, the only operating high school in the country to be designated a National Historic site, is among the sites to be visited.
Others include the Clinton Library and Museum, Heifer International (for lunch), and the Esse Purse Museum. Another pre-conference tour is planned on Thursday morning, June 10, and will focus on sites in North Little Rock. Please save time in your schedule to participate in these tours, which are subject to change based on COVID-19 restrictions.
There are so many interesting places to visit in Arkansas that the challenge is what to eliminate. The post-tour itinerary starts June 13 and includes a tour of the country’s newest world-class art museum, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Here you will experience the evolution of American art.
The permanent collection includes iconic images such as Asher B. Durand’s Kindred Spirits, Norman Rockewell’s Rosie the Riveter, and Andy Warhol’s Coca-Cola.
While you’re here, walk along acres of trails or explore a Frank Lloyd Wright home recently moved to the campus. The itinerary is growing and includes a stop at the Museum of Native American History and the Walmart Museum/Historic Bentonville Square. Put June 13-June 15 on your calendar for a post-tour.
