Congratulations to Judy Jones, appointed to the APW Board as southwest Arkansas Board representative. Judy teaches Oral Communications, Theatre, and Journalism at Nashville High and has been active in encouraging her students to take part in the APW high school contest.
Judy has earned mulitple education awards. Here’s a shortened list of her many honors: 2006 Kappa State Achievement Award; 2006 Arkansas Press Association Journalism Educator of the Year; 2005 National Board Certification in English Language Arts for Young Adults; 2004 Regional Finalist Arkansas Teacher of the Year; Arkansas Department of Education Frameworks Committee for Journalism; and 1999 Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year, Sevier County.
